The Forgotten Billion is a podcast and journal about the global majority — the 6 billion+ people on Earth whose lives shape the world, but whose stories are too often unheard.

Through deep analysis, sharp insight, and powerful storytelling, we explore how everyday lives are shaped by systems of health, work, finance, climate, technology, gender, infrastructure, and power.

Each episode and journal entry looks beyond headlines and abstractions to ask: whose stories get told, whose are left out, and what do those stories reveal about the world we are building?

The Forgotten Billion is created by Studio Poka as a home for grounded, human-centered narratives from the global majority — stories that make complex systems easier to understand, and overlooked realities harder to ignore.

We've started Season 1 with India. Future seasons will move to other geographies. Same format. Same standard. Same uncomfortable questions.
